K-type is used for the incoming load-switch function; A-type supports the outgoing switch-fuse function. The S suffix identifies manual operation and D identifies motor operation within the documented family.

What is the difference between K-type and A-type spring operating mechanisms?

A K-type spring mechanism is used for the incoming load-switch function. An A-type mechanism is used for the outgoing switch-fuse function and adds the fuse-striker trip path; an optional shunt release can also be specified. Confirm the installed FLN36 or FLRN36 switch, shaft position and mounting arrangement before selecting either family.

Are K-type and A-type operating mechanisms available in manual and motor-operated versions?

Yes. The documented K-type family is available as manual …-SK or motor-operated …-DK, while the A-type family is available as manual …-SA or motor-operated …-DA. For a motorized mechanism, specify the motor or control voltage and any shunt-release requirement with the order.

When a fuse striker operates, the three-phase release linkage trips the opening path of the A-type outgoing switch-fuse mechanism so the load-break switch opens. Match the FLN.5XS.174.080 device to the installed A-type mechanism, striker position, trip-rod direction, mounting geometry and reset arrangement.

Can SF6 load break switch accessories and loose parts be matched from photos alone?

Photos can narrow the likely accessory group, but they do not confirm fit. Add the switch model, voltage class where relevant, installed position, critical dimensions, orientation or handedness, retained mating parts and quantity so the replacement can be checked before quotation.
