Do not use the family name alone to define the cabinet interface.

04Which earthing-switch ratings should be included in an RFQ?

State rated voltage, rated short-time withstand current and duration, rated peak withstand current, short-circuit making current where applicable, power-frequency and lightning-impulse withstand levels, mechanical endurance, system frequency and the project-specified standard and edition. Use the values for the exact model and suffix being requested.

05How is the correct 5XS.320 shutter mechanism selected?

Specify the complete 5XS.320 designation, cabinet width and depth, breaker or chassis interface, upper and lower shutter arrangement, guide channels or rods, linkage height and required parts-list scope. The .010, .011, .012, XC and KYN.5XS.320.051 configurations use different assemblies and interface parts.

06What information is required for a 5XS.239.010 or 5XS.573.010 interlock?

For 5XS.239.010, provide the door, earthing-switch and handcart operating sequence, mounting arrangement, linkage direction and support requirements. For 5XS.573.010, provide the secondary-socket core count, breaker type and current frame, support height, installed position and mounting dimensions.

07Can individual shutter, guide-rail or operating parts be supplied instead of a complete assembly?

Individual parts can be quoted when the drawing or parts list identifies the exact code, quantity and mating interface. State whether each support, shaft, linkage, guide, shutter plate, handle or fastener is required as a separate part or within a complete assembly; otherwise the supply scope cannot be defined reliably.

08What drawings and documents can be supplied with a quotation?

Available information varies by model and may include technical specifications, dimensional or installation drawings, electrical diagrams and assembly parts lists. State any required material, inspection, language or document-format requirements in the RFQ so their availability can be confirmed against each quoted line item.
